Project report no. 5 from the Recycled Materials R&D Project – Summary. This report deals with experiences from pilot projects involving used car tyres and considers both technical and environmental properties of this material. It also discusses challenges and possibilities connected to the use of shredded car tyres.

Project report no. 4 from the Recycled Materials R&D Project – Summary.
This report is prepared by the control board for recycling of asphalt (KFA) as working document no. 14.03. The report contains a description of the required documentation to be performed when receiving returned asphalt.


Project report no. 3. Hot mix recycling in asphalt plant

Project report no. 3 from the Recycled Materials R&D Project – Summary.
This report is prepared by Asfaltteknisk institutt (The Norwegian Institute of Asphalt Technology) on contract as part of Work package 4 Recycling of asphalt. The report deals with efforts to increase the amount of hot mix recycling in asphalt plants.


Project report no. 2. Recycling of used car tyres in noise barriers – life cycle analysis

Project report no. 2 from the Recycled Materials R&D Project – Summary.
This report is prepared by student Karin Synnøve Østby at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) as a project assignment for Work packages 2 and 5. It describes the use of LCA (Life Cycle Analyses) as a means for assessing the environmental effects of recycled materials using a noise barrier constructed from recycled car tyres as a practical example.
